Then the Master of Arts in Community Leadership degree and certificate program may be just what you are looking for. This program prepares graduates in three key areas:

This program prepares you for a leadership role in settings such as:

          • Advocacy groups
          • Community organizing and outreach
          • Government public affairs and ethnic affairs programs

The new International Track prepares you for leadership in organizations addressing international issues or for community-level work in other countries.

Democracy is strongest when informed citizens participate actively in decision-making in their communities. The MACL program helps you strengthen and develop skills to be even more effective in your work to help people meet their basic needs, to inform citizens on issues, and to involve people in decision-making through advocacy and organizing. The MACL degree and certificate programs will prepare you for leadership positions in a variety of community organizations that work to strengthen communities and democratic processes.
