Financial Aid: Prospective Undergraduate Students

We know that financing a Westminster education is a big investment in your future; we will do everything we can to make a Westminster education more affordable.

Applying for aid is easy!

  1. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. Fill out the freshman or transfer student admissions application. Everyone who applies is considered for merit-based scholarships.

New Freshmen

In 2011-2012, 87% of incoming freshmen received a renewable Westminster scholarship. The average 11-12 freshman scholarship award is $12,625. Annual amounts for these awards range from $5,000 ($20,000 over four years) to $15,000 ($60,000 over four years). In addition, Westminster oversees a generous financial aid program: aid includes work-study, grants (both state and federal), and loans. In 2011-2012, 97% of incoming freshmen received financial aid. The average financial aid award was $23,700 (including scholarship, work-study and loan money). Click here for more information on our Freshman Scholarships

Transfer Students

Transfer students are eligible for work study, loans, and, of course, scholarships and grants which range in amounts from $5,000 to $11,000 per year (as long as you are attending full-time and maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic progress).
